In-app notices are on from the start. Email is logged until a mail provider is connected. WhatsApp stays off until you turn it on, and it is logged the same way.

A follow-up due today
A document or approval expiring today or tomorrow

The same notice is stored once per channel per day. Turning every channel off is allowed.
